Assalam-o-Alaikum Brothers and sisters,

I was just saw these Qama Zani pictures on your Alqaem youth Forum which persuade me to join the forum and share my views on these issues.

I hope you all know that Blood matam is not supported by our Maraja-e-Taqleed like Ayatullah Sistani and Ayatullah Khamnaei. Moreover, I insist you try to know the history of blood matam!!! When and where it was started first? What groups started this? What are the outcomes of blood matam on Shite today?

Please think what message you are given to the world with these pictures?

Is this the peace you are showing to the world? Is this humanity? Did any of our Imam (AS) appreciate blood matam? or What was the main aim of Karabala?

In the Holy Quran Allah says What happen to you Why you don't think?

These believes are not the part of Shiaism? Shiaism teaches spirituality, peaces, human values not brutality. If you want to be a true follower of Imam then act according to their teachings . Do what they like and avoid what they don't like. To be shia you must know what will make them happy and what will make them sad?

Try to educate our society.

May Allah give us sense to differentiate between right and wrong.Ameen

While Mr SH Naqvi has made his point regarding blood matam, i think he should not ignore the cultural factors in different countries where shiism is practised.Our religion Islam has so many different faces- according to the cultural norms of different countries.You cannot accept exactly the same practices from muslims say in the Arab world or those living in South Asia or Indonesia.One should understand this and NOT condemn rituals and practices that may occur in different parts of the muslim world,

Salamalykum,
Syed Hasnain Rizvi ,Mjority of mujtahids said it is allowed. and we all know this fact also but we feel very proud to speak aginst our most learned mujtahids? WHY?
I do not understand how a shia who love ahlulbayt, who know what is taqleed?, and also know importance of knowledge , issue such type of irresponcible slogans?

Zajeer zani: There is no need to say here some mujtahids permitted, some included it in mustahab acts and some suggested to take precaution. Not a single mujtahid said it Haram.

Mujtahid formulates his opinions after pushing his research and study as far as he can. These small differences can not divide our community . There is no doubt enemies of ahlulbayt trying to create Dispute among believers by searching these simple differences.

It is also very important for us not to work and speak under impression of enemies of ahlulbayt.

Simply in case of any confusion on any topic. ask your marja e taqleed and follow him and let the other follow their mujtahids.

Why to target followers of different mujtahids? This is not an act of believer.

Dear brother : Salam alaykum: I am totally agree with your views and give below a burning example from Azerbaijan - I request all the members of this forum to read this news and see the effect of the ritual of Qma Zani turned into a blood donation for the benefits of our brothers.

Caucasian Muslims Department (CMD) appealed to believers due to coming of Muhahram month on January 31. It was noted that Ashura would be marked on February 9 ( Muharrram’s 10-th day). CMD considers unacceptable attraction of small children to rituals conducted in mosques, and calls on to follow the order. The appeal reads that instead of beating themselves with chains, blood transfusion centers will be organized in mosques.
**Ashura - is the main event in Shiite’s religious calendar in memory of imam Hussein killed on Muharram 10, 61 year of Hijra (October 1, 680 year) near Kerbala. Mysteries imitating Hussein’s death in fight against Yezid pretending for higher power in khalifate are performed. During the ritual "shahsey-vahsey"believers beat themselves with chains. Ashura’s history is connected with the fight for the right to be a hear after the death of the Prophet Mohammed. This withstand caused a conflict between the Imam Ali (Imam Huseyn’s father and brother-in law of the Prophet Mohammed) and Mohammed’s followers. Withstand resulted in bloodshed between the followers of Ali (Shiites) and those who opposed his higher power.

Mourning rituals took place in the Azerbaijan’s holy places. Ceremony of Koran reading which began at night on January 31 were accompanied by reading of Koran. Voluntarily blood transfusion centers were organized for the people diseased with thalassemia.

Despite the appeal of the head of CMD A. Pashazade to believers to give blood instead of beating themselves, many young people took part in the ritual of beating themselves. According to one of the Akhund’s of «Teze Pir» mosque Haji Zahid, the number of such ritual’s participants grows from year to year.
“Ashura’s Character” photo-exhibition took place in the V. Samedova show room. Works by six maters , representatives of South Azerbaijan were represented. The Iranian Ambassador Avshar Suleymani , representatives of Culture Ministry and Tourism, the Union of Artists of the republic attended the exhibition. Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk gave blood in the Institute of hematology, due to Ashura day marked by Shiites.

Two days ago the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse also gave blood due to Ashura. Such actions of diplomats demonstrate their solidarity with the principles of humanism, inter-religious solidarity and the respect of local traditions.

Thanks Basharat bhai for this news. At some place i disagree with donating blood instead of doing matam. This is a sazish from enemies of ahlulbayt. personally i do not encourage zanjeer or Qama Matam but when ever i see any organization or individual suggesting azadar to donate blood instead of Matam, i oppose as i see this suggestion a conspiracy against azadari.
If any Mujtahid or marja of any shia suggested this, then only it is his duty to donate blood instead of Matam. Till today i have not seen any mujtahid suggestion this then how can we suggest.
DONATING BLOOD to save live of our brother is good act and this you can do full year why only in the month of Muharram and in first 10 days?
tell me how many organise blood donation camps full year.
On this issue once more i suggest a simple rule. Follow your own marja e taqleed and never object on other mujtahids rulings if it differs from your marja e taqleed.It is duty of mujtahid to suggest what to do or how to perform azadari?

i have very less knowledge but 1 thing i want to share here is that people who are following or doing qama have this belief that if they do so they ll go straight to jannat although they r unaware of the fact that they r spreading misconceptions abt shiaism i hope u ll agree?????

Salamalykum,
I have not seen any person who perform matam(any kind of Halal including qama) and say he will go directly to jannah by performing matam only. Matam is mustahab act and this is one of the act which can wash our sin , if we do not repeat it after asteghfaar.
